Dubai’s Bank Street

Bank Street, Bur Dubai, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Khaled Bin Al Waleed or best known as Bank Street. For expats it’s really are and later on almost everyone call this street as Bank Street. It is located at the intersection between Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Road (Trade Center Road) and Al Mankhool Road but the stretch of Khalid Bin Al Waleed starts from the foot of Al Maktoum Bridge all the way to Al Mina Road near the shore.

 Bank Street as known today was coined because of the presence of majority of banks sprouting in the area such as: Emirates NBD, United Bank Limited, Citibank, Bank Saderat Iran, Abu Dhabi National Bank, Habib Bank Limited, Habib Zurich Bank, ADCB, Emirates Islamic Bank, and Bank Melli Iran. While on the opposite side, you could find HSBC, Mashreq Bank, National Bank of Fujairah, First Gulf Bank, National Bank of Umm Al Qawainn, and Barclays Bank. Not far from the area are RAK Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, Commercial Bank of Dubai, Commercial Bank International, Noor Islamic Bank, Al Hilal Bank, and Dubai Islamic Bank.

The most prominent mall you will discover here is Burjuman Mall, a state-of-the art facility, boasting world-class boutiques for shopaholics and mouth-watering foods and gourmets offered by international cuisines and chefs for international and local tourists alike.

The joining of Green Line and the Red Line of Dubai Metro named the station to Khalil Bin Al Waleed Station.

If you will walk down the street, you could find Apsara Supermarket, Thomsun Supermarket and the Libra Supermarket which is inside the Al Musalla Mall.

The street is still considered as the Old Financial Centre of Dubai.
